Hi there! I’m Nicole T
I’m an acupuncturist, mum, weekend yogi, fairweather kayaker and veggie gardener.
But what I’m really known for is helping people find their own personal brand of “balance” in order to stay sane and healthy in our crazy modern world.
I believe 100% that we play an active and integral part in our own health. We can’t just watch from the sidelines. We need to take an active role. When given the right conditions, the body has an amazing capacity to heal and repair.
What am I most proud of? My patients. Their daily commitment to value themselves, their health, and the life they want to live. I am inspired each and everyday to see each person’s unique path to health and vitality.
What you get from working with me
You’ll get my expertise in traditional Chinese medicine, balanced, reliable health information, suggestions for food choices that will work for you, and decades of personal experience in taking a natural approach to health.
My training gave me a solid foundation not only for Chinese Medicine, but also involved training in anatomy, physiology and biochemistry. Having a diverse range of lecture topics interwoven throughout the course – from hypothyroidism, metabolism and Parkinson’s disease; to Yin, Yang, and herbal ingredients like gou ji zi (go ji berries) – has given me the ability to see health through multiple lenses. I also have allied health experience as a speech pathologist having worked with adults and children with swallowing and communication difficulties.
Working with me will result in a happier, calmer, more rested you. You’ll no longer be trapped by constant hormone swings, anxiety, or insomnia. You’ll have more energy to spend time with your family and participate in activities that give you pure joy! You’ll sit in the driver seat of your life.
The boring (and not so boring) stuff
I’m registered as a Chinese Medicine practitioner for acupuncture by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
I am accredited for acupuncture from the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). I graduated from Endeavour College of Natural Health with a Bachelors Degree in Acupuncture. I was awarded the medal for academic excellence award for Acupuncture and Dux of all of the Health Science degrees nationally.
I traveled to Miyazaki and Osaka, Japan, to learn from some awesome and famous doctors at the Yamamoto Hospital and Rehab centre and Morinomiya University of Medical Sciences on how to treat neurological conditions. I learned Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture which I use with frequent success for pain conditions. I also travelled to Pemuteran in NW Bali, to learn from a famous doctor about the benefits of acupuncture for gynecology and pregnancy conditions as well as no-needle Japanese technique that has great results treating children.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me and learning my passion for helping people like you.
Now, I’d love to know more about you!
